2025 Green Cup
It was an honor to be part of the beloved 16th annual Green Cup Tournament, where the hockey communities of Marshfield and Duxbury came together for something bigger than the game itself. The day was filled with exciting matchups, from Mites all the way to High School Varsity, with teams fiercely competing for bragging rights while raising funds for Cancer Can’t. Both towns also took part in a heartwarming ceremony revealing the retired Marshfield Youth Hockey jersey, #23, in honor of Danny Sheehan who lost his battle with cancer.
It was truly a day that showcased the strength of our town hockey families - how we come together, not just for the love of the game, but for a cause that touches so many lives. The energy in the rink was electric, and seeing the support from everyone involved—whether on the ice, in the stands, or behind the scenes—was a reminder of how much we can accomplish when we unite for a greater purpose. Events like these are what make our towns so special, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this meaningful experience!
Thank you to all the incredible volunteers, families and fans from both rivalry towns for coming out to support their teams on a day when they could have been off from the rink. Your selflessness and generosity embody the true spirit of community!
